Osteopathy in the United Kingdom
Safe and Regulated Care
In the UK, osteopathy is a regulated profession. This means all osteopaths must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the official body that ensures practitioners meet strict standards of safety, training, and professionalism. Only those on the register are legally allowed to call themselves osteopaths.
Training and Qualifications
Every registered osteopath has completed a degree-level course in osteopathy, which includes in-depth study of anatomy and medical sciences, alongside extensive hands-on clinical training. To stay up to date, osteopaths are required to complete ongoing professional development every year.
So when you see an osteopath, you can feel confident that your care is in safe, highly trained hands.

Our mission
How do we treat
Our journey starts with a consultation, where we ask lots of questions seeking to understand what we are dealing with and pave the way into your healing

Together, we will do an assessment, which may include orthopaedic tests and functional movement tests to set our starting point and measure your progress

We will employ various hands-on techniques to alleviate your discomfort and enhance your health, which may include mobilisations, trigger point release, stretches, joint manipulations, breathing techniques, and exercises.

We may recommend lifestyle changes to help you get results faster, which may include manageable and specific exercises and dietary advice

We aim to give you our opinion and how long it will take us to get you skipping back to life. We will prepare a treatment plan to help you along the way, which may include follow-ups depending on the severity of your condition.

We may, if necessary, write to your GP or engage with other health care practitioners to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to your health.

Osteopathy is for everyone
At Nature Osteopaths, we help people from all walks of life, ensuring you get the most out of life at any stage of it, from babies to the elderly, students, athletes, and professionals. Osteopathy is right for you.
